After graduation from Institut Teknologi Bandung majoring in architecture, Dyah Setiawati joined Parama Loka Consultant and later Pacific Design, where she had tremendous opportunities to contribute in international design projects. After a few years in Jakarta she joined ID Architects, an architecture firm in Singapore. She had accomplished several building projects in this firm and two years later she moved to the United States of America. Since then she enjoyed broader international experiences.
Dyah had worked at Kroiz Architecture and later Francis Cauffman of Baltimore office, where she involved in architecture and interior design of residential and commercial buildings, as well as various other typologies including healthcare. Coming back to Indonesia in 2010 Dyah had worked for Kota Baru Parahyangan, a large developer in Bandung and gained technical and management skills in various types of high-end projects. She is now practicing architecture and interior design under the brand DWARA.
Dyah is accredited as certified architect in Indonesia registered by Ikatan Arsitek Indonesia (IAI) and Lembaga Pengembangan Jasa Konstruksi-LPJK (Construction Services Development Board) . She is also has in-depth knowledge in green building design, and accredited as Greenship Professional (GP) registered by Green Building Council Indonesia.
